NORTH COUNTY — Oceanside will raise the LGBTQ flag at City Hall in June in support of Pride Month amid another heated meeting regarding raising flags.
The council approved the measure, 3-2, with Councilmen Rick Robinson and Peter Weiss voting no. The council, though, rejected a proposal to construct another flag pole to support the LGBTQ flag at City Hall, citing costs. It was estimated to be at least $17,000 to install a new pole, according to the staff report.
