The economic impact of shopping locally and supporting small businesses strengthens cities and their local economy
As we approach the holiday season, a time when our thoughts often turn to gift-giving, holiday cheer, and celebrating with loved ones, we’re also presented with an important opportunity to support the very backbone of our local economy: small businesses.
This year, I encourage everyone in our community to mark their calendars for Small Business Saturday, celebrated on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. It’s a day dedicated to shopping small, supporting local, and recognizing the vital role small businesses play in shaping the character and prosperity of Encinitas.
Small businesses are much more than just storefronts; they are the heart and soul of the community. From family-owned restaurants and coffee shops to boutique stores and local service providers, our small businesses create the unique charm that makes Encinitas a special place to live, work, and visit.
