Chamber Chat: Now’s the Time to Go Green in Encinitas
Encinitas businesses can now earn free Green Business Certification through a new city-chamber partnership, saving money while supporting sustainability

With Earth Day fresh in our minds and EcoFest just around the corner on June 1, now is the perfect moment to remind Encinitas businesses of a unique and timely opportunity to go green — and save green in the process.
Thanks to a collaborative partnership between the city of Encinitas, the Encinitas Chamber of Commerce, and the San Diego Green Building Council, local businesses can now participate for free in the California Green Business Network’s Certification Program. This is more than a title — it's a practical, guided path toward operating more sustainably, reducing costs, and showcasing environmental leadership.
Through the program, participating businesses receive personalized support to improve energy efficiency, reduce waste, conserve water, apply for rebates, and create a healthier workplace. Businesses complete a checklist of environmentally responsible actions tailored to their industry.
