CARLSBAD — The latest passenger service has moved to McClellan-Palomar Airport on Thursday.

JSX, a semi-private, hop-on air carrier, moved its home base from San Diego to Carlsbad and will service customers with flights to Las Vegas and Taos, N.M. The new service allows passengers to arrive 20 minutes before their flight through smaller, and more private, gates and board a 30-seat jet.

Regular service to Las Vegas began on Thursday, while the Taos route starts on Dec. 14, according to the company. The Las Vegas route runs five days a week, with up to six flights a day, while the Taos route will operate three days a week, with two flights a day, per the company.
